About the Author

 
Born in France in the “baby boomer generation”, Fabrice Menoyot has spent his adult life aboard, living until recently on the American continent, in the [sub] tropical areas.

His professional experience keeps building up with each new project. Fluent in French, English and Spanish, Fabrice's professional experience covers many fields of expertise: Language and Literature teacher, radio producer, computer engineer, software and network consultant, database manager, software and web sites developer.

In the end of the 90's, he added to his portfolio a few more fields: book publisher - founder of Fleetstreet Publications [see The Essence of Self-Healing] -, Public Relations, corporate administrator, advertiser, and story writer.

In mid 2002, Fabrice decided to move out of the USA and settled in Jamaica, in a small community of the South West of the island.

 

Bluefields, Jamaica - 2003 -2006

Soon after his arrival, he helped the local community center get plugged to the Internet and developed a series of courses called “Learn at your own pace” to respond to the great need for free computer training. In 2003, Fabrice started the development of a new educational tool with a Literacy Course targeted to adolescents and adults, in association with a Jamaican NGO in Kingston. The project got funded from September 2004 to May 2006. Since June 2006, Fabrice is engaged in his own reseach alone, and self-finances the development of the software.

 

Dedicated to philanthropist activities since 2001, Fabrice is presently offering his support to organizations or associations with an education project which goal is to reduce considerably the current rate of illiteracy in their area and/or to develop language courses for children of all ages within the next 3 to 5 years.

 

Fabrice recently decided to also work on the "Library of Endangered Languages", an ambitious humanitarian project that will bring life to a new Web Service which task will be to link together all available resources on disappeared and endangered languages, currently spread all over the Internet. This Center will bring new value and interest to all of these resources and offer a massive library of resources to integrate into educational courses and electronic booklets, such as Languages Courses, Literacy, regional Culture, Arts, etc.
