The objective of FreeEducationCenter.com is to provide free education in multiple languages and in many fields via a friendly and attractive interface. The first task has been to create new software that can run Education Centers like this one, and that can also be installed on any type of computer (Windows, Linux and Mac) for those who do not have access to the Internet. The software has been named "Learning Now" and it is now running this Education Center.
Our second and current task is to establish a network of Associations and Organizations [NGOs] which are now working on educational projects and who are using "Learning Now" for additional support to their students and to the methods in use.
Learning Now v1 (Apprendre Maintenant v1)* is a brand new educational tool originally designed for a 15 to 35 years-old public. Today's version can be used for a larger audience. The project initiated in Jamaica in September 2004 with the support of the UNESCO in Kingston.
Learning Now v1 is the perfect tool to implement new teaching methodologies taking full advantage of all current multimedia resources available to educators.
Learning Now v1 is much more than just software for children. Enumerating each type of courses and books that the software can create could take pages! If you have anything in particular in mind, do not hesitate to contact the author and confirm that it could be developed using the Editor. Built on a modular structure, new features can be added to the software according to educators and users' needs. The author is open to all suggestions.
